Feilden+Mawson is a leading architectural practice in the AJ top 100 with an established reputation in heritage and new build across the commercial and public sectors.
Founded over five decades ago, the practice has offices in London, Norwich, Cambridge and Prague. Particular strengths include introducing contemporary design into urban settings in a sensitive and innovative way.
Expertise in masterplanning, regeneration and new build in sectors as diverse as education, government and housing has earned us international acclaim and dozens of awards.
Formed in 1956 by Bernard Feilden and David Mawson, the practice has developed an architectural philosophy based on a contemporary approach to the design of new buildings, whilst respecting their context, combined with the knowledge and skills acquired through the conservation of historic buildings and their environment. These principles have been supported with a strong business ethic, based on the pursuit of excellence and integrity in professional relations.
The practice has been able to grow and compete in a changing economic climate over the past 50 years, by anticipating and adapting to the changes in technical and business practice. We continually re-evaluate the skills and knowledge required to respond to clients’ requirements and introduce appropriate areas of strength and expertise within the practice.
An overriding concern for the impact of design and construction on the built environment has led to the development of strong sustainable design principles and skills which are applied to all projects.
The changing roles of the architect within the construction industry and new procurement methods resulted in the creation of project management and interior design services within the practice, which generate new areas of professional expertise and consultation whilst supporting and strengthening our existing work profile.
Feilden+Mawson has always taken a holistic view of practice and employment. We see this as a way of contributing to an improving environment for clients and the broader public, whilst also creating a working ethos which thrives on a blend of youthful vigour and fresh thinking, balanced by experience.

The Hamlet supports and enriches the lives of children and adults with disabilities and their families at three specialist locations in Norwich. Established in 1972 the charity has evolved from a humble toy library into one that offers a range of high-quality specialist services for children and adults from birth. The children and young people who access our services have a range of profound disabilities and complex health needs, some of whom are in receipt of palliative care or have an acquired head injury. Their illness, disability and/ or sensory impairments means that they require additional help and support in their day to day lives.
Each year we support over 400 families throughout Norfolk promoting integration and inclusion by breaking down the barriers that often exist for people with disabilities. We work closely with the local authority and other organisations to ensure the best of care and support for our families. Our dedicated and highly trained staff/volunteer team work with other professionals, delivering a range of varied and unique services tailored to suit every individual in receipt of and reliant on our care.
Who are we. We are a plastic recycling company and a reliable partner in recycling of plastic waste. In UK and Europe, we work closely with recycling companies, waste management companies, industrial and manufacturing firms in collecting, processing and exporting their plastic waste. Through our integrated trading network, we are able to provide recycling solutions for a sizable variety of plastic waste.
Our History The increasing environmental awareness in the plastic industry let to the establishment of EF PLASTICS in 2013. The company started by setting up a sourcing and collection network to sort and ship plastic waste for further processing. The knowhow and built up of knowledge in the recycling industry led to the opening of processing factory in the UK where a vast variety of materials can be processed. We are now processing and trading materials such as LDPE and HDPE and various engineering plastics such as ABS, PC, PMMA and so on.
Our Mission & Goal Our mission and goal is to constantly increase processing of plastic scrap in our industry and in an environmentally friendly manner use this plastic to produce new products, while at the same time minimizing the harm to the environment and reducing landfilling and dumping of recyclable materials.

We support families and provide all-encompassing care for children and young people with life-threatening conditions across Norfolk, as well as Suffolk, Cambridgeshire and Essex. The Nook, set in beautiful grounds in the village of Framingham Earl, near Norwich, was opened by our Royal Patron, HRH The Duchess of Cambridge in November 2019. We also have two other hospices – The Treehouse, in Ipswich, and EACH Milton, outside Cambridge.
We are there for families in their hour of need – a lifeline at the most unimaginably hard times. They feel safe and comfortable, spending precious time together and creating memories that last forever. Our aim is to ensure the best quality of life for the children in our care.
This is thanks to the amazing work, knowledge and expertise of our specialist team, including nurses, counsellors, care assistants, play specialists, music therapists, art therapists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, a family therapist, chaplains, chefs and housekeeping staff.
We pride ourselves on our family-centred approach, caring not only for children and young people but also their parents, carers, brothers, sisters, grandparents and sometimes friends. Among other things, they benefit from:
Specialist nursing care
Symptom management nursing
Short breaks
Wellbeing activities
Therapies
Care at end of life
Bereavement support and counselling
Families also have flexibility and control over where they receive their care and support, including where their child dies. More than half the care and support we provide is delivered in the family home and community.
However, we cannot do this without your support
We are recognised as leaders in our field, with a reputation for excellence and commitment to pioneering development, but we provide our specialist medical and emotional support completely free of charge.
We rely on voluntary donations for the majority of our income and this year need to raise £7.5 million from donations and fundraising, and a further £8.7 million in retail income. The more we raise, the bigger difference we can make to local children and their families.
