As international trade becomes increasingly more complex, universally used rules are essential to avoid misunderstandings and costly disputes. Regularly incorporated into sales contracts worldwide, Incoterms® rules define, in a set of three-letter trade terms, the risks and responsibilities of buyers and sellers in an international sales contract. This course looks at the rules from a practical point of view and explains all the costs, delivery and risk implications and where to go for more help and information.
We spend a lifetime learning, but when was the last time we stopped to think about how we learn? You might be surprised about how much of our natural learning ability is unwittingly damaged or suppressed by the very educational system that was designed to ‘teach’ us. In this fascinating introductory workshop run by Carl Hammond of TIPS for Good Management, we will reveal how to deliver “Brain Friendly” Training that sticks! Including; memory techniques, training games and those things that influence our sensory perceptions. This highly interactive session will feature many tips and techniques TIPS have developed over the years and use in our every day to day training and development and which also helped us to win a UK National Training Award, two years on the bounce! Believe it or not, all of these fun and engaging methods do serve a purpose as they hold the key to really unlocking the hidden learning potential of you and your people. As a result, you and your learners will absorb more and retain information far longer when you use these ideas. We will show you different ways to engage the human brain to create a more natural way to learn but most importantly have fun at the same time! 3 top tips you’ll walk away with:
Learn new and exciting training and development techniques that actually stick!
Discover how the brain works and how it can help and hinder learning.

Over 4 weeks, collaboratively work with other businesses to plan the steps you can take to grow your business and stand out from the crowd.
How often do you take the time out to take a step back and think where the business is going? Monthly? Yearly? Never?
Accelerate has been designed to work as a 4 week series, or individual standalone sessions, to help you reflect on what your business does today, what you’re working towards in the future, and to create a plan to get you there. Working collaboratively with other businesses, succeed together.
1. Research – Knowing your Business Environment What is it that makes your business tick and encourge customers to use you again? Research helps you get perspective into the market you operate, allowing you to highlight new markets to explore, new customer segments to engage with and threats that need to be mitigated. We also take a look at uncovering niches in your existing marketplace and how you can adapt your product or vision accordingly.
2. Branding & Marketing – Creating an Identity According to tailorbrands.com you have 7 seconds to make a first impression, therefore you must be able to clearly show who you are and what you stand for. Using customer research from session 1, we begin to identify how we can connect with our customers, as well as creating tailored marketing strategies to keep them coming back for more.
3. Growth – Why & How After raising awareness of our immediate business environment and how we can connect with our customers, we look to growth strategies we can deploy. By reviewing past examples of those who succeeded, and those who didn’t, we can look at what would work best for our businesses. Here we focus on strategies for building the top and decreasing the bottom line.
4. Smart Finances – with support from Stephenson Smart Whether you’ve joined us for all three previous sessions or none at all, the series closer works for everyone. Delivered by Stephenson Smart, financial experts and business advisors, we take our thoughts, aspirations and research, and craft it into a detailed plan. Here, we also explore the relevant finance options for you and your business, and begin to create an action plan to support your growth.
This series is delivered by our team of dedicated Innovation Advisors here to support you and help make your business more innovative, productive and competitive. Following the course, attendees will have the opportunity to benefit from continued support and coaching, to increase the chance of delivering the action plan created.
