No, I don’t copy writing and I’m not a ghost writer.
Basically, I chat with you and discover your story. The reason you started your business, what makes you unique.
I then use it to promote your business across your website, blogs, social media and more.
Because we all have a story of why we set up our business, what keeps you going when it’s stressful and lonely. And your customers want to know yours.
But I haven’t always been a copywriter.
For the past 20 years, I’ve worked as a journalist, covering every sort of story imaginable.
I most recently worked as a political reporter for the BBC in Norwich, covering the county’s biggest stories across TV, radio and online.
I even won a Royal Television Society award for New Talent On Screen for my coverage of the rollout of Universal Credit in Norwich.
But my life changed after I had my two children. I found I couldn’t be fully part of their lives when I was off reporting from one side of the county to another.
So, at the end of last year, I decided to walk away from the career that I’d loved and create a new life for myself.
So that’s how I became a copywriter. And now I get to work with amazing people and tell their stories.
Because that’s all journalism is. And that’s all copywriting is.
It’s finding the unique part of your business and making sure your customers and clients know about it.
People buy from people. Knowing your story helps your audience build a relationship with you. Then they trust you. Then they buy from you – over and over again.
From saving historic Elm Hill in the 1920s, to more recent advocacy for the best possible outcomes for Anglia Square’s development, as well as sustainable transport systems, town planning policy and the highest quality in modern architecture, the Norwich Society has been focused on preserving and improving the city’s built environment and public spaces for over 100 years.
But our work isn’t done – our committees continue to push for consideration of significant issues facing our future, and we have specific committees focusing on aspects of infrastructure, planning applications, the civic environment and protection of the character of the city’s historic environment. Working in collaboration with the City Council and other bodies, and with the support of our membership, we help to effect positive change and keep Norwich an appealing place to live and work.

Anglia Capital Group is an angel investment network dedicated to prioritise support for high-growth businesses in Norfolk and Suffolk.
Many start up and early-stage companies find
it difficult to access the funding that they require. Their businesses are too
risky for bank finance, grants cannot fund all of a company‘s requirement and Venture Capital is only used in 3% of
startups. It is business angels that fill this gap.
Angel Investment is one
of the earliest equity investments made into a high-growth business. Over £2
billion is in invested in this form, in the UK, per annum.
The right funding at the right time, coupled
with the expertise that external angel investors can bring, is often the key to
unlocking rapid growth for companies wanting to expand, diversify, or enter new
markets. A vibrant and healthy business angel market is therefore a
key ingredient for a successful regional economy.
Our Mission
– To be the go-to early-stage investment network in East Anglia, for both investors and entrepreneurs.
-To encourage impactful investments into the region’s best early-stage businesses.
– To build and host a productive and collaborative investor community for our Members.
– To be a productive part of a vibrant entrepreneurial ecosystem working with respected partners and professionals.
– To encourage and support female entrepreneurship and female investors.
