Who Would Benefit from the Course?

Anyone who is involved in changing wheels/discs on Bench or Angle Grinders.

Course Objectives

An understanding of the regulations.

An appreciation of Abrasive Wheel safety and mounting techniques.

During the course, the following elements will be covered:

 An understanding of the rules and regulations appertaining to Abrasive Wheels.  General safety measures.  Eye protection.  Understand the hazards arising from the use of abrasive wheels.  The function and method of assembly of all components.  Machine spindle and wheels speeds.  Fitting and adjusting guards, eye protection screens and work rests.  Truing and dressing of wheels.  Safety precautions prior to starting the machine.  Codes and marking of the Abrasive Wheel.  Participants will carry out practical work with Abrasive Wheels and relevant equipment.

Duration of Course – ½ Day

This course can be carried out at your site or at Milne Safety for a maximum of 12 delegates.
